A big change from 0.2.1: the game now draws both eyes itself, every frame, and the geo-11 3D driver and 3D fix are no longer used.
Batman: Arkham Knight in PC VR: native stereo, head tracking with the game's third-person camera, DLSS for each eye, and an in-headset settings panel.
What's new
- Native stereo: both eyes are drawn by the game from the same moment, so depth is correct and nothing lags behind when the camera swings.
- DLSS for each eye (NVIDIA RTX cards), with the quality chosen in the VR menu, and an AFW speed mode for slower PCs.
- HUD and world markers sit at the depth of what they point at.
- Smoke and rain match in both eyes. Smoke stays steady as you move your head or the camera.
- Troubleshooting: press CAPTURE (F2) in the panel right after you see a problem. It saves what both eyes saw for a bug report.
Updating from 0.2.x: the installer removes geo-11 and the old 3D fix and sets your older VR settings aside.
Download AKVR-ArkhamKnight.zip below, then follow the steps under Installing.
Known issues: the compass marker and the distance marker sometimes jump to a copy for a moment. With DLSS on, the bright rain inside a light beam can fade when you face it straight on.
Tested with a Meta Quest 3 through Virtual Desktop, on an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti. A SteamVR launcher is included and was tested with SteamVR.
Credits: the per-eye DLSS method follows the Luma Framework's Arkham Knight mod (licence included in the zip). DLSS is NVIDIA's. Built with MinHook, Dear ImGui and the OpenXR SDK.
