PS5 Directo 2.0.0
- Herramientas nuevas: PShare, Chiral-FTP, ps5-exporter y PKG Manager.
- Copia de seguridad de las partidas de PSXS5, Porpoise, Mupen64Plus, Snes9x, Genesis Plus GX, FBNeo, Beetle PCE, PSFlycast, RetroArch y Ruffle.
Consola, capturas y comodidad
Nubes, consola y sistema (nuevo)

PS5 Directo 2.0.0 (English)
Everything new since the last published version. There is so much that it becomes 2.0.
What's newest in 2.0
- 🛡 Firmware guard (System tab): checks every 10 minutes whether the console has downloaded a system update (
/update/PS5UPDATE.PUP) and warns you on the PC, on your phone and, if set up, on Telegram or Discord. Remove it with one click, or let it go automatically. Optional: block the update servers on the console itself (with kstuff or etaHEN; backed up so you can undo it). - 🧩 Payloads up to date (System): compares what you have in Payload Manager (ShadowMountPlus, kstuff, ftpsrv, BFpilot…) with the latest version in its catalog and your sources. It warns you when a new one is out (also on Telegram or Discord) and you update it with one click, like Payload Manager's own button.
- 🏷 Tidy up names (Library): gives your images (.ffpkg, .exfat, .ffpfs, .ffpfsc) and .pkg files a clear name, like "Title-PPSA01234-EU", using the title each one carries inside (no external databases). It never touches folders or patches, respects ShadowMountPlus's 63-character limit, never overwrites anything and can be undone with one click. Idea from Game Library Renamer.
- ▶ YouTube without updates (for Y2JB): the same as Y2JB's own script, done carefully: checks the database is healthy before and after, swaps it in one go (never half-written) and keeps a backup on the PC for "Undo".
- 📰 Scene news (Library): the latest from the RecompStore catalog (native ports, emulators, apps and tools), with a notice for what's new. Just to keep up: PS5 Directo installs and hosts none of it, and each port needs your own original files.
- 🐧 Beyond the console (Recommended): step-by-step guides for Linux (Ubuntu) and Bazzite Deck (Steam like on the Steam Deck) on the PS5, with a button to send the loader. And MihawkOS (experimental): your Windows programs and the official Steam on the PS5 itself, without Linux.
- 🐞 Automatic report: if PS5 Directo detects a bug of its own, it offers the report already filled in with the error and the log, ready to send to GitHub (no passwords or codes). Can be turned off.
- Diagnosis on close: if something closes on start on the console, PS5 Directo sees it in ShadowMountPlus's log, checks it with "Check boot" and tells you the likely cause.
- 📖 About this title on each title's page: a Wikipedia summary and links to the trailer and reviews; and the cover animates on hover.
- ✨ New "Discover" tab: Scene news up top and 30+ emulators, apps and tools by category (emulators by system, Media, Remote Play, Tools, Linux and Steam), with covers. In Library, Recommended and What's new shortcuts plus an "Emulators" / "Apps and tools" filter. And a 🧭 new interactive tour: the first time you open 2.0 it shows you everything it can do (also in the ⋯ menu › User guide).
- Phone: the ⋯ menu no longer goes off screen and the install-app notice stays until you press "No, thanks".
- Design: smooth tab transitions, a livelier background and a △ ○ ✕ □ loading animation (all off with the system's "reduce motion").
More emulators and a step-by-step guide
- Many more emulators in Recommended, grouped by system and with search: PS5SX2 and PSXS5 (PlayStation), PSP5 (PSP), Porpoise (GameCube and Wii), Mupen64Plus (N64), Snes9x (SNES), EglantinePS5 (Switch 2, experimental), PS5-ECAM (Wii U, 3DS, DS and Switch), PSFlycast (Dreamcast), Genesis Plus GX (Sega), FBNeo (arcade), Beetle PCE (PC Engine), PS5X360 (Xbox 360), XPSemu (Xbox), RetroArch (many systems) and Ruffle (Flash). All downloaded from their author's official page; none includes BIOS, keys, firmware or content.
- 🧭 First steps: the first time you open an emulator it guides you step by step (installing it, your BIOS or keys, your content and opening it) and ticks what's already done.
- Media: VLC (with "Send videos and music"), Jelly5 and Emby5 for your Jellyfin or Emby server.
- New tools: PShare, Chiral-FTP, ps5-exporter and PKG Manager.
- Backup of the saves of PSXS5, Porpoise, Mupen64Plus, Snes9x, Genesis Plus GX, FBNeo, Beetle PCE, PSFlycast, RetroArch and Ruffle.
Console, captures and comfort
- System with ps5-exporter: fan, power, FPS, clocks, the console's hours of use, "Now on the console" (also at the top) and which titles heat it up most.
- Captures to Telegram or Discord: new ones are posted by themselves to your group or channel (your Telegram bot or a Discord webhook), with a different destination per title, history and "Retry". And "📤 Send" for the ones you tick.
- "Install on the console" for .pkg files and "▶ Open on the console" for installed titles (with zftpd).
- "⏸ Pause here" for conversions (frozen, using no processor or disk) and "🐢 Use less of the PC" (low priority).
- A cleaner interface: a "⋯" menu at the top, "Go to…" with Ctrl+K, finished queue items in one line and in their own section, long hints folded, each title's details with its background art, and "What's new" for every version you skipped.
iPhone, Mac and Linux
- iPhone and iPad without an app: "Open on phone" › "Got an iPhone or iPad?" explains how to keep PS5 Directo as a Home Screen icon (already connected, no rescanning) and how to create a shortcut for "Share › Send to PS5 Directo" from Safari, Telegram or other apps.
- Mac: finds aria2, FFmpeg and rclone installed with Homebrew; the check for whether the console answers now works (it used to wait 1 millisecond); the clouds' "Configure" opens Terminal without asking for permissions; the file picker comes to the front; clicking the icon again brings the window back instead of opening another; shortcuts show ⌘ (and ⌘⌫ deletes in Console files); downloaded Forge and rclone are prepared so macOS lets them run.
- Linux: if the distribution keeps its certificates elsewhere (Fedora, openSUSE…), https downloads no longer fail; clicking the icon again also brings the window back with xdotool; firewall (ufw) hints in "Open on phone".
More
- Loading animation with the four symbols (triangle, circle, cross and square) wherever something takes a moment: Recommended, First steps, System, Captures, clouds, each title's page… and a small one at the top while waiting for the console.
- New tools: SMPlusGui (ShadowMountPlus settings from the browser) and ps5-tailscale (reach the console from outside your home without opening ports, experimental). Backup also saves their configuration and the Hardware Overlay's.
- ❤ Credits (⋯ menu): the free projects the app uses or recommends, with their author and GitHub.
Clouds, console and system (new)
- ☁️ My storage: your clouds (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, MEGA, pCloud, Box, WebDAV, SFTP) with rclone, downloaded by itself from its official GitHub. Browse, tick and download to your PC or send it to the console: it goes into the queue like any link (several connections, resumes if cut, extracted and converted the same way). Your accounts stay in rclone, on your PC.
- "The PS5 downloads it (zftpd)" destination: the console itself downloads the link (http, https, ftp or magnet) without going through the PC; .zip files are extracted to the destination.
- 🌡 System tab: the console's CPU temperature with a graph, memory, disk and uptime (with zftpd), with a warning if it gets too hot.
- PS5 Hardware Overlay in Recommended and System: FPS, CPU, GPU and SSD temperatures, clocks, RAM and VRAM, fan and power draw on top of the picture, like MangoHud. Adjusted from its web page.
- Library › 🔔 Updates: the version you have of each title against the latest known by prosperopatches.com (PS5) and orbispatches.com (PS4), and the latest that fits your firmware. Only the version number is checked; to install, PatchDL.
Emulators
- A notice when a new version is out and an "Update" button: copies the new version over the old one, keeping settings, saves, BIOS and content.
- "🧬 Add your BIOS" and "🎮 Send content": pick the files on your PC and they go to the right folder (in Crux2, /data/crux2 if it exists).
- "⚙ Settings and logs": view its logs, and view and edit its settings (a .bak copy of the previous one is kept).
- Quick guide for each emulator: where everything goes, formats it reads and what to check if it fails.
More
- Captures that download by themselves: with the checkbox, new screenshots and videos go to your PC, one folder per title, when the console is on.
- 🗄 Archived (On your PC): a list of what you archived with each file's SHA-256 checksum and "Check" to know if it's still intact.
- When resuming, if the file on the server has changed (different ETag, date or size), it starts over instead of mixing two versions.
- Phone: a list of the devices that have connected; "Change code" locks out everyone who had it.
PC mode (new)
- "PC mode" switch at the top: use it as a download manager. Everything you add (also from the extension and the phone) stays on your PC: download only, download and extract or download, extract and convert. Nothing goes to the console.
- Several parts at once when downloading to the PC (Settings › "Parts at once"), with the same total connections. Free file hosts that allow only one download go one at a time.
- Watched folder: whatever finishes downloading there with another program (FDM, JDownloader…) lands in the link box by itself.
- If extracting on the PC fails, it says why and what to do (password, damaged file, missing part, no space…), and if it's 7-Zip's fault it tries without it.
- "Catch the download links you copy" (under the link box): file links (.rar, .7z, .zip, parts, .pkg, images, torrents) you copy in any website or program land in the box by themselves.
- When done, "📂 Open the folder" (what stays on your PC) or "📂 See on the console", and finished items take less room in the queue.
PS5 Dump Forge
- A notice when a new version is out, with what's new. Update when you want from the notice or Settings (or automatically, if you tick it). PS5 Directo checks the new one works before using it.
- zstd format (Forge 0.5): like LZ4 but even smaller; as a folder or inside an .ffpkg image. AMPR titles only.
- Compression level for LZ4 and zstd (Fast, Balanced, Smallest).
- "Launch check" knows zstd and warns that ShadowMountPlus's fakelib update can swap the AMPR emulator.
Transfers
- Time left for the whole queue, next to "Queue".
- Checksums (.sfv, .md5) are also checked on resumed parts, by reading the whole file again (before, they stayed unchecked).
- "Choose what to extract" with "Only to my PC › Download and extract": see what's inside and extract only part of it.
- Speed test › "Tune connections with this link": tries 2, 4, 8 and 16 connections and keeps the best.
- Queue: ▲ ▼ to change the order and "⚡ Send now": jumps ahead of everything; what was being sent pauses and carries on by itself when it's done.
- "Where does it go?": "To the PS5" or "Only to my PC", with cards like the format ones. With "Only to my PC" you choose: download only, download and extract (joins the parts and uses the password) or download, extract and convert to the format you pick (.exfat, .ffpkg, LZ4…). It's saved in Downloads › PS5 Directo › Biblioteca (can be changed) and then shows up in Library › On your PC.
- Paste lots of links at once, one per line or inside any text. When you click "Add to queue" it splits them into packages and, if a link doesn't work or a part is missing, warns you and lets you choose what to add.
- Resumes by itself if it fails because the console was lost (rest mode, restart, payload crashed), as soon as it answers again.
- Payloads: if you paste or drop an
.elf, it offers to start it on the console with Payload Manager instead of copying it.
Console
- "PS5 Dump Forge" in the payloads window: starts on the console with one click, and from its web page (port 8095) it converts and installs .pkg inside the PS5.
- "🔎 Find my PS5": finds the console on your network if its IP changes (in Settings and in the "I can't find the PS5" notice).
- Low-space notice for the console, with "Make room".
- Clear notice when FTP or BFpilot is missing: console off, on but without the jailbreak (after a restart), Payload Manager not open, or a payload to install or restart, with a button to fix it.
- If you open Payload Manager later, it starts ftpsrv and BFpilot by itself.
- Launch check and LZ4: flags in red when a title is in LZ4 but one of its executables doesn't use AMPR (happens with collections) and explains the SIGBUS crashes ShadowMountPlus logs.
Library
- "🩺 Check everything": "Launch check" for everything at once; tells you what's broken and why.
- Details of each title when you click its cover: where it is (console and PC), firmware, use, save backups, updates and your notes.
- "🗄 Archive on PC": copies it to your PC, checks it arrived complete and removes it from the console to free space. Bring it back from "On your PC". The "Not opened in 2 months" filter shows what to archive.
- Recommended › Remote Play: the payload that gets the PIN to pair without PSN, and chiaki-ng, to see and control the console from the PC.
- ⭐ Recommended (new): PS1 (PSSwanStation), PS2 (Crux2) and Switch (ProsperoEden) emulators installed by themselves from their author's GitHub, and tools loaded as a payload: PatchDL (official updates from the browser, nothing installed on the console) and PS5 Dump Forge. Each says what it's for and what you need (BIOS files, keys and games must be your own).
- "📂 Folder" button on each card to go to its folder, and 📂 on "On your PC" cards to open it on the PC.
- "⋯" menu on each card with Permissions, Saves and Delete (tidier, and no deleting by accident).
- All: each title once, whether it's on the console, on your PC or both, with its copies, updates and DLC together, and "Send to the console" or "Download to PC" depending on what's missing.
- On your PC → "Send everything missing": queues everything on your PC that isn't on the console.
- "Opened … ago" and time used on each card (from the ShadowMountPlus log, since PS5 Directo started watching), and a "Recently opened" sort.
- "Saves" button on each title: copies only its saves to the PC.
Browser extension 1.3.0
- Alt + click on a link: the browser downloads it, no capture.
- Capture rules: don't capture if smaller than X MB, and "never" or "always" on the site you have open.
- Picks up the password written next to the link when sending it with right-click ("Password: …").
- In the popup: "⚡ Send now", time left for the queue and the PC mode switch. The "done" notification has "📂 Open the folder".
- Guided install: "🧩 Extension" button at the top (and Settings → "Install it step by step"): opens your browser's extensions page (Chrome, Edge or Brave), copies the folder path for you and shows live when it's connected.
- In PC mode, what you send with right-click goes to your PC.
- Right-click a link or selected text → "Send to PS5 Directo" (to the links box or straight to the queue, to the PS5 or only to your PC).
- The icon shows the queue progress and notifies when something finishes or fails; its popup has a mini queue with pause, resume and cancel.
- Updates itself: PS5 Directo keeps it in a fixed folder and it reloads itself when there's a new version; if the browser won't let it, PS5 Directo tells you it's outdated. If you loaded it before 1.26: remove it and load it once with "🧩 Extension". From then on it's not needed.
Phone
- "Share" to PS5 Directo (Android app): from Chrome, Telegram or any app, share a link and it lands in the link box.
- "⏰ Wake up my PC" (Android app): if the PC is asleep, it wakes it with Wake-on-LAN (if your PC allows it, usually by cable).
- Android app (
PS5Directo-2.0.0-Android.apk): opens PS5 Directo from your PC in its own window, with its icon in your apps and no browser bar. The first time you scan the "Phone" QR from the app and it remembers it; to switch PCs, "Connect to another PC" at the bottom. What you save goes to Downloads › PS5 Directo. Android will ask permission to install apps from outside the Play Store: that's normal. - In Captures, "📲 Save to phone": screenshots and clips to the phone (WEBM is turned into MP4 on the PC first), ready to share.
- Tabs at the bottom and captures two per row.
Trash (new)
- Space › Trash: "Delete" in the Library and in Console files moves things aside instead of deleting them for good; recover them with one click, and they're deleted by themselves after 7 days (configurable).
- Replacing no longer deletes the old copy too early: it goes to the trash, and if the new one doesn't work you recover it. If room is needed, the trash empties itself starting with the oldest.
Backup
- Emulator saves: also those of PS1 (PSSwanStation), PS2 (Crux2, PS5SX2) and Switch (ProsperoEden): memory cards and saved states, restored separately.
- The daily backup waits until you close what's open on the console, so a save isn't copied half-written.
Mac
- Native on Apple Silicon: no longer asks for Rosetta.
- macOS asks for the Local Network permission as PS5 Directo (if you said no: System Settings › Privacy & Security › Local Network).
Fixes
- In English, the top button to update PS5 Directo said "Refresh".
- Library: sending something from "On your PC" or "All" to the console no longer says "That's already on your PC" when "Only to my PC" is selected at the top; it always goes to the PS5 now.
- Captures › "Download to PC" saves to Downloads › PS5 Directo › Capturas (next to the converted MP4s), with its progress right there and "Open folder".
Help
- "🐞 Report a problem" always visible at the bottom of the page.
- Bug report with a form: what you were doing, what went wrong and the steps; it creates the .zip and opens a pre-filled GitHub issue, or copies the text for the forum or Telegram.
Use at your own responsibility.
