KisakCOD VR v0.10.0-beta.11 — HUD Recovery, VR Prompts, Recenter, and F.N.G. Fixes
KisakCOD VR beta.11 makes the configurator and the complete opening F.N.G.
training sequence controller-operable in VR. It is a complete standalone mod
package; no earlier beta is required. A legitimate installation of the original
2007 Call of Duty 4 is still required, and no original game data is included.
Live HUD-editor recovery
- Cycle through all five HUD groups without having to point at their current
rectangles, so a covered or off-screen group can always be selected. - Center the selected group without changing its scale, or reset only that
group to the tested defaults. - A fixed in-headset banner identifies the selected group even when the group
itself is outside the visible canvas. - Save and Cancel remain transactional, and gameplay input stays suppressed
while the editor is active.
Separated recenter controls
- Recenter position only without changing direction or level.
- Recenter direction/level only without moving the positional origin.
- Full recenter changes both components atomically.
- First-gameplay recenter now offers Off, Position only, Direction / level
only, and Full. Existing0/1profiles migrate automatically. - Standing-height measurement leaves both recenter components unchanged;
seated calibration recenters position only.
Dynamic VR prompt labels
- Common COD4 prompts now describe the actual saved VR bindings instead of
fixed PC keys such as F, R, Space, Shift, or Ctrl. - Primary and alternate bindings, remaps, chords, directional stick/trackpad
inputs, controller profiles, and OpenXR/OpenVR differences are respected. - Full-screen keyboard menus and unknown, ambiguous, or unbound actions retain
COD4's original keyboard labels. - This release uses clear text labels; controller-button artwork is a future
enhancement.
F.N.G. training repair
- Accepted VR shots now satisfy the native script-action notification used by
the hip-fire tutorial without faking mouse input or bypassing muzzle blocking. - Physical/configured VR ADS and Sprint reach the native command paths expected
by the training scripts, including the course finish line. - The end-of-course difficulty recommendation and confirmation dialogs render
as one fused centered image instead of displaced stereo copies. - The controller cursor can reach and select the complete difficulty menu.
Validation
- All 142 settings and compatibility/configurator checks pass, with additional
regression coverage for HUD recovery, separated recentering, prompt labels,
campaign input, and centered modal menus. - The complete F.N.G. flow was verified without a mouse or keyboard on Meta
Quest 3 through Virtual Desktop VDXR, including the difficulty selection. - Beta.10's OpenVR two-hand aiming, Automatic-proximity release, and The Bog
scripted C4 detonator repair remain included.
Installation
- Download
KisakCOD-VR-v0.10.0-beta.11.zip. - Extract every file beside the original 2007 COD4
iw3sp.exe, replacing the
previous mod files when prompted. - Run
KisakCOD-VR-Configurator.exe. - On Setup & Compatibility, rescan and resolve every Blocked item.
- Review the recommendation, choose your remaining settings, and click
Save & Launch.
Personal settings and weapon/gunstock profiles remain under LocalAppData and
survive package updates.
Known limitation
Death From Above remains unsupported even though it appears in Mission
Select. Skip it by opening the console and running /spmap bog_b to continue
with War Pig.
Meta Quest 3 through Virtual Desktop VDXR remains the primary tested path.
Other OpenXR headsets and the SteamVR/OpenVR compatibility backend remain
experimental until confirmed on their native hardware.
