Improved handling of mounting virtual disk images. Now assigns drive letter to the last partition on the virtual disk to avoid mounting the EFI partition within a multi-partition second generation virtual disk during the initial mount. Other partitions can be assigned a letter in disk management once the virtual disk is attached.
Boot creator and disk management no longer block operations when the target disk is a virtual disk. Boot creation can now be fully deployed directly onto a virtual hard disk.
This creates a two partition, hyperV compatible, gpt based second generation virtual disk which will boot under hyperV, differing from the single partition MSR based native boot vhdx created in image processing. Recommended to create a new vhdx in disk management with a capacity that exceeds the virtual disk/s contained within.
Create new vhdx, mount vhdx, and mount iso are now located under disk management options.
Improved virtual and physical disk mount and unmount routines. Automatically detects virtual disk files, physical disks and partitions, only prompting for the drive letter to unmount. Disk and partition number are no longer required.
Virtual disks are no longer mounted exclusively to drive V:/ and instead will be assigned to the next available drive letter.
Multiple virtual disks can simultaneously be mounted without issue.
