This release only works with KOReader official release version 2025.10
Please carefully follow the installation instructions.
New Features
- First time installs are now easier. The required components (fonts, icons, etc) are placed in the correct locations automatically if possible.
- On screen error messages are displayed if required components are missing which should make troubleshooting easier.
- The tags or keywords for books (typically set via software like calibre) can be shown in Cover List mode beneath where author and series are displayed. They are only shown if there is enough space. This means that they are more likely to display if you have your items per page set to 5 than they are if you have it set to 10, but ultimately it depends on your specific device. Code contribution by @loeffner
- Folder thumbnail covers can be shown in a "stack" now, in addition to the existing "grid" layout. Code contribution by @loeffner
- In Library mode with "Show opened books first" enabled a line is now drawn marking the end of the opened books and the rest of your library. Code contribution by @loeffner
- Previously, the "Filenames only" list mode used the stock KOReader UI, with the entire plugin disabled. Now a Project: Title style is used that retains the header and footer but displays only filenames. No metadata or covers are shown. Just the filename.
- Several languages got updates to their translations, and one new translation was added: Bulgarian by @marinov752
New Settings
- An underline can be enabled to indicate the last item (book or folder) you were just in. This is the default behavior of KOReader/Cover Browser, but it is disabled by default in this plugin.
Bugs Fixed
- Sorting recent books to the top of Library mode should work on certain Linux systems where it did not work previously.
- Reading page count values from inside epubs could fail in certain cases where other calibre custom columns were in use. This has been fixed. Code contribution by @pkecerski
- KOReader will no longer crash when you have a sub-folder with a semicolon in the name.
User Patches
- Customization via user patches has been expanded. I receive a lot of feature requests however I only add the ones get many requests or that I think would have broad appeal. For everything else a user patch is the best answer.
- User patches are small files that you place on your device once and can remain across updates to KOReader and this plugin.
- Many have already been written by myself and others. Please see this wiki page for more information and links to user patches you might like: https://github.com/joshuacant/ProjectTitle/wiki/User-Patches-for-Project-Title
- If you try to write a new user patch and it seems to be too difficult, please open an issue. I can't add everyone's feature into the plugin so I want to make user patches as easy as possible for people to write and share.
- Here is a short list of some things that are now possible:
- Change buttons in the header/toolbar
- Add buttons to the header/toolbar
- Change widgets in the footer.
- Change various font and layout options for List and Grid view, separately or in tandem.
- Change the way author and series information is formatted in List view. - Code contribution by @loeffner
