github jordibrouwer/nextdash v1.22.2

The action bar, the five views and Config are drawn like a category under every Signature material, instead of as the dialog plate of that material, and the blocks on Config lie on their pane as a light tint instead of a box of their own colour — held back from the What's new window (hideFromModal) like v1.22.1, so v1.22.0 keeps leading it.

Appearance

  • fix — the action bar draws like a category. Out of the header, the bar was a plate in the material of a dialog: an accent bar on the edge, a mark on top and the shine of the overlay. Under Category surface glass or card it now draws the ruit or card of a category with the same hairline, sheen, cast and radius (category-surface.css), and under a Signature material it takes the paint of that material's category rule (theme-signature.css; the dock selectors ride in the category blocks). What a category sets for its own layout (position, padding) is reset for the dock. Ink keeps a thin plate, since a bare row of icons has nothing to tell it apart from the bookmarks. Under open the dock keeps the plate of the overlay.
  • fix — the views draw like a category. Bookmarks, Inbox, Containers, Glances and Tags carried the overlay plate (shine, edge, cast); under every Signature material they now take the fill, edge, shadow and blur of that material's category, including --surface-sheen for terminal and ink. The overlay plate stays under open (theme-overlays.css).
  • fix — Config draws like a category. The same for the Config view itself; the panels, widgets, tiles and update bar on it take the corner of the material (#dashboard-layout.config-layout > .config-view and its blocks, in theme-signature.css).
  • fix — the blocks of Config lie on the pane as a tint. Under Signature a block lay on the small fill of the material (--ov-fill-small, 96% on glass), which read as a box of its own colour. Under every surface but open it now takes what Classic gives it: 35% of the surface colour with a hairline, and a 4% tint on a card surface (theme-signature.css).
  • fix — the cards on those views take the corners of the material. The summary card and the Glances, Docker, tag and Inbox cards use the radius of the material's category, up to 14px.

Tests

  • fix — the config pane spec expects the pane of a category. config-panes.spec.js asked for a fill that is neither clear nor solid under Signature; Aurora's category lets the backdrop supply the colour, so the Config view now does too, and the spec asks for the blur and a fill below 1.
  • fix — CI. Weighted shards and per-spec timings (scripts/shard-weights.cjs, scripts/slow-specs.cjs, tests/shard-times.json); the Playwright image was tried and left again.

Docs

  • docs — static/data/whats-new/v1.22.2.json and its index entry, held back from the What's new window; whats-new-stub.js's NEXTDASH_WHATS_NEW_DATA_VERSION moved to whats-new-v354. go generate refreshed asset_hashes_gen.go. tests/whats-new-hidden-release.spec.js lists v1.22.2 as held back.
