The dashboard is set in Source Code Pro and every other screen in Inter, and Config → About has a new look with a Project, an Install and a News & features tab. It is held back from the What's new window (hideFromModal), so v1.20.1 keeps leading it. v1.20.2 was never tagged on its own; it ships with this release.
Look
- new — two fonts, one for the dashboard and one for the rest. The header bar, the bookmark grid and the search panel are set in the font preset under Appearance, Source Code Pro by default. Config, Inbox, Tags, Containers, the modals and the other views read in Inter, which is served from
/static/fontslike the mono. The font you pick, or the look you apply, still decides the dashboard only; code, addresses and key chips stay on the mono everywhere. The tag cloud panel is Inter.--font-family-uiand--font-family-dashboardare the two roles, and the dashboard surfaces swap what--font-family-mainmeans for their subtree, so the rules that ask for it need no change (font-size.css,font-presets.js); the grid followsdata-active-view="bookmarks". - fix — the +N on a tag offer takes the page font.
.tag-offer-morewas a button with no font of its own and drew in the browser's default, Arial (tag-offer.css). - docs — a test for the split.
tests/font-default.spec.jsasks for Source Code Pro on the header bar and the grid, Inter on the body and in Config, and Inter loaded from/static/fonts.
Config
- new — About has three tabs: Project, Install and News & features. Project says what nextDash is, why it exists and who makes it, with links to the docs, the issues, the changelog and the manual, a Ko-fi card at the top right and the roadmap. Install shows the release you run and whether a newer one is out, tiles for pages, categories, bookmarks, widgets, tags, data size, uptime and platform, and Copy diagnostics, the facts a bug report asks for with no file paths in them. News & features is the old second tab, moved and restyled. The old colophon tab address opens Project (
dashboard-config.js,config-view.css). - new —
GET /api/about-info. The facts behind the Install tab: release, build version and commit, build date, Go version, OS and architecture, start time, uptime, the size of the data folder and the listen port. No paths (about_info.go). - new — a licence list under Credits and licences. The collapsed block at the foot of Project lists the licences of what nextDash ships with. It is generated by
scripts/gen-licenses.mjsintostatic/data/licenses.json, andscripts/release-preflight.shchecks that the file is current. - docs — tests for About.
tests/config-about.spec.jsandtests/config-about-section.spec.jscover the three tabs, the old tab address, the facts, the copied diagnostics and the licence list;about_info_test.gopins/api/about-info.
Docs
- docs — the manual. §16's Typeface line says the preset sets the dashboard and Inter the rest; §17.8's About paragraph describes the three tabs, with a shot of Project and one of Install. The five full-page Config shots (Appearance, Bookmarks, Inbox, Containers, Help) are retaken, now in Inter.
- docs — Help. Config (the About line), Appearance (the typeface) and Getting started (the Install tab and Copy diagnostics) say what changed, in six languages.
- docs — translations. The 34 About strings (
config.about*) were English fallbacks in the code only; they are inlocales/in all six languages now. The overview carries an item for the Install tab and its diagnostics,sincev1.20.3, in six languages.
