github jordibrouwer/nextdash v1.17.3

latest release: v1.17.4

The daily install count from v1.17.2 now actually counts. Held back from the What's new window (hideFromModal) like v1.17.1, so v1.17.2 keeps leading it.

Privacy

  • fix — the install count was never counted. Umami read the request as a bot and dropped it while still answering 200, and it counts visitors from pageviews only, which the ping was not. The ping now identifies itself the way Umami accepts and goes in as a pageview with the version as its path, so installs show up as visitors and per version under Pages. What is sent is unchanged: a random install id and the release tag, once a day (install_ping.go). Installs on v1.17.2 start counting once they update.

Docs

  • docs — static/data/whats-new/v1.17.3.json and its index entry, flagged hideFromModal; whats-new-stub.js's NEXTDASH_WHATS_NEW_DATA_VERSION moved to whats-new-v319, and tests/whats-new-hidden-release.spec.js lists v1.17.3 among the held-back releases. go generate refreshed asset_hashes_gen.go.
