Movies & TV Shows
- Series pick up seasons and episodes from the provider info when the episode list comes back empty, and episodes show their artwork. A property field that used to fail a whole page now loads. Thanks @OverSoft (PR 92).
Playlists
- Dispatcharr Direct Connect now says when the account needs an API key, and names the failing step and field when a connection fails.
Guide
- The guide paints a quick window at launch and widens in the background, stays on screen through a channel identity purge and under memory pressure, and group pills stay reachable after picking a later group. Thanks @ckegels (PR 122, fixes #118, #119, #120, #121).
- Guide colors and category tints match the Apple app, and dragging the guide is more precise.
- The Guide rounded corners setting now rounds the program cells (jonzey231/AerioTV#87).
- Switching groups starts at the top of the group, and returning to All restores your place.
- The replay badge no longer clips the rail clock.
Android TV
- Back on the Settings page returns to the Settings pill first, then Live TV.
- Focus fixes: Down from the tab bar after a cold launch lands in the guide, Back from the player keeps focus on the playing channel, guide rows survive a time window roll, and the player opens with focus on Pause.
- Settings pages match Apple TV, with grouped cards and steppers. Drive sign-in for Sync survives the Settings pane.
- Performance on the Google TV Streamer: hidden tabs no longer rebuild every 2 seconds on artwork saves, plus guide text caching and off-main-thread decryption.
Phones and Tablets
- Tablets use the phone's bottom tab bar as a static pill, with a corner mini player and pinch-in to minimize.
- Kept Live: closing the player can keep recent channels live, shown on a Kept Live card with KEPT badges. Re-tuning a kept channel plays instantly, and backgrounding the app no longer releases it.
- Switch Stream reorder drags from the handle on the first move, and the sheet stays put until Done or a tap outside. Multiview tiles respond to tap and long press.
Player
- Multiview: new Show Channel Logos option with corner position and size, inside the video picture (requested on Discord by Glitzbr).
- Multiview: Add to Multiview refreshes upcoming programs when it opens (jonzey231/AerioTV#96), and recordings gain a Multiview button (jonzey231/AerioTV#76).
- Switch Stream: Dispatcharr Direct Connect admins can reorder a channel's streams.
- Skip Without Controls: with the controls hidden, Left and Right skip back and forward instead of opening the timeline, for live TV, recordings and movies (jonzey231/AerioTV#94). Thanks @ruckusvol (PR 101).
- The stream readout shows frame rate and the playback pipeline.
- Fixed a crash when a stream switch followed a 503 retry (#117).
Other
- Google Cast: on-phone hardware transcode chosen from the receiver's own answers, HEVC and HDR support, Cast Connect into the AerioTV Android TV app on Google TV devices, the channel follows Change Cast Device, and the cast card and controls sheet match the Apple app.
- DVR: recording posters load from your own server. Thanks @ant462 (PR 77). Recording art and files load from either server host.
- Record forms use a compact two-level Series layout on phones and TV, with Customize rule on TV.
- Settings redesign: regrouped pages matching the Apple app page by page, two panes on wider screens and foldables, Android TV pages with grouped cards and steppers, and the same menus, sheets and wording on every platform.
- Xtream usernames are masked in debug logs.
Note: this version updates the on-device database. Going back to 0.5.9 requires uninstalling first.
