AerioTV 0.4.25
Performance release for Android TV boxes, plus a few polish items.
Fixed
- Tabs stay ready. Switching between Live TV, Favorites, DVR, On Demand and Settings no longer rebuilds the tab. Each one stays loaded once you have visited it, so switching back is instant.
- Much lighter on TV boxes. The app was running two copies of the playlist engine, so the guide was parsed and built twice on every launch, and the On Demand library was fetched at full speed right after launch. Both are fixed: one engine, and a paced library load that runs in the background after the guide is up.
- No more flashes when switching tabs. Tabs no longer flicker through an empty state on entry, and a tab can no longer disappear under your focus and bounce you back to Live TV.
- Settings on TV. Highlighting the Settings pill no longer opens Playlists on its own. Press Down to enter the list and pick a section.
- Splash screen on Android TV now matches Apple TV.
Install
Sideload AerioTV-0.4.25.apk; it carries the in-app updater, and builds from 0.4.20 onward will offer this update. The Play build is updater-free; if you switch from a sideloaded build to Play, uninstall first.
