AerioTV 0.4.24
Features and fixes for Android phones, tablets, and Android TV.
Fixed
- Slower TV boxes stuck on the guide (#84, #91). The On Demand library was being decoded on the main thread within a second of every launch. On boxes such as the Onn 4K Pro that starved the remote long enough that Up from the guide never reached the tabs, and the guide felt laggy at startup. That work now runs off the main thread and waits a few seconds after launch unless you open On Demand first.
- Favorites as default tab on phones (#81). Backing out of a channel with the Android back gesture returns to Favorites in one swipe instead of landing on Live TV first.
New
- Channel numbers on the remote (#71 on the Apple tracker). Remotes and keyboards with digit keys can type a channel number: in the guide it jumps to that row, while watching it changes the channel. Type the digits, then press OK. An entry left alone for six seconds clears.
- Recordings resume where you left off. Playback position for DVR recordings is saved and synced with your other Android devices, so a recording picks up where you stopped on any of them.
Install
Sideload AerioTV-0.4.24.apk; it carries the in-app updater, and builds from 0.4.20 onward will offer this update. The Play build is updater-free; if you switch from a sideloaded build to Play, uninstall first.
