AerioTV 0.4.23
Features and fixes for Android phones, tablets, and Android TV.
New
- Remote control from the notification shade. While your phone controls an AerioTV TV, a media notification shows the current program and channel with play, pause, rewind 30 and forward 30. Tap it to get straight back to the remote.
- Hide the All Channels group (#80). Manage Groups now has a pinned All Channels row. Uncheck it and the guide, the channel list and the in-player channel list start on your first visible group, which keeps very large playlists quick to open.
- Favorites on TV is a guide (#83). The Favorites tab on Android TV shows the guide filtered to your favorites instead of a plain list.
- On Demand on TV (#87). Long-running series load every season again (episodes are paged from Dispatcharr instead of loaded in one request), search results are ranked by match, the on-screen keyboard only opens on OK, and the D-pad walks the grid and the tab pills predictably.
Fixed
- Playback no longer stutters about 30 seconds after a channel change: a harmless status 404 during a healthy stream no longer triggers a reconnect (#82).
- Playlist edits such as the local URL save immediately instead of after the next sync (#83).
- The default tab is respected when backing out of Settings (#81).
- Holding Left in full screen keeps the group you picked when returning to the guide (#90).
- Remote control: a channel tap can stay on the list and re-tune the TV in place (#85); switching apps no longer drops the connection or starts the channel on the phone (#88); channels launch on the TV much faster; tapping the Controlling card always opens the controls.
- Tapping the floating player or the cast card while casting works again (#86).
Install
Sideload AerioTV-0.4.23.apk; it carries the in-app updater. The Play build is updater-free; if you switch from a sideloaded build to Play, uninstall first.
