AerioTV 0.4.0 (Android phone, Android TV)
Control your TV from your phone
Open AerioTV on your phone and tap the TV button to use it as a remote for your Google TV Streamer / Android TV or Apple TV on the same network.
- Browse and change channels from the phone, with the guide right there
- Transport controls: play/pause, and pause/rewind live TV (with Live Rewind)
- Switch Stream: swap the channel's source server without leaving the couch
- Record the current program straight from the remote
- Sleep Timer (Off / 30m / 1h / 1.5h / 2h) - pauses the TV when it fires
- Audio Only - drops the video so the screen goes dark while sound keeps playing
- Full audio track, subtitle, playback speed, and aspect ratio controls
Pairing is a one-time 6-digit code shown on the TV; after that your phone reconnects automatically.
On the TV side
- AerioTV on Android TV can now be controlled by any phone running AerioTV (Android or iPhone). A short "Phone connected" notice appears when a remote takes over.
Under the hood
- More resilient device discovery on the local network (browse restarts while empty, refresh when the picker opens, ghost-entry cleanup).
- Audio Only chosen from a remote now survives stream re-primes and app resume instead of silently restoring video.
- Channel identity now rides the once-a-second position updates, so a connected phone can never be left thinking the TV is on the previous channel.
Note: turning on debug logging (Settings) now captures companion-remote activity, so if you hit an issue you can send us a log that pinpoints it.
