AerioTV 0.3.0 is a big feature release.
New
- Global Search across live channels and the guide, movies, and series, with scope chips to narrow the results.
- Channel Collections: build your own channel groups (Favorites, Kids, Sports, anything) that show up as pills on Live TV.
- List or Guide toggle for Live TV: switch between a clean channel list and the classic grid guide.
- Multiview upgrades: selectable layouts (Even Grid, Hero and Corner, and more), a per-tile scrubber, and mixed live, movie, series, and recording tiles in one view.
- On Demand: a Continue Watching tab, cast bios with Known For on movie and series pages, and Open Series from Continue Watching.
- DVR: watch a recording while it is still recording, genre pills on recordings, and a Recording indicator the moment one starts.
- Channel Profiles: AerioTV now respects a Dispatcharr account's Channel Profile, so a child profile only ever sees its allowed channels (fail-closed).
Improved
- Smoother live playback and faster channel start; dead streams time out and reconnect instead of hanging on a black screen.
- Readable detail text on unfolded foldables, and cleaner Picture-in-Picture (closing the PiP now stops playback).
- Cast and crew links open TMDB directly on phones and tablets; the QR code stays on Android TV.
- Many Android TV navigation and focus fixes, tvOS-style gesture hints, and mini-player behavior.
Security
- Server credentials are now encrypted at rest and kept out of logs and error messages.
- SSRF protection added to image loading.
Sideload users: this APK self-updates through the in-app updater. Google Play users receive the same release through the Play Store.
