AerioTV 0.2.3 focuses on Android TV (Google TV) playback reliability, guide navigation, and a more refined look. Phone and tablet are unaffected by the TV-specific items.
Fixed
- The program guide no longer goes blank after you background the app and reopen it.
- Android TV: video now plays reliably. Fixed a bug where a channel played audio over a black screen because the player briefly switched the display mode and lost the video surface.
- Android TV: Back now closes the mini-player. The full back flow is: Back shows the player controls, Back returns to the guide with focus on the channel you were watching, Back closes the mini-player, Back jumps to the top of the guide, and one more prompts to leave the app.
- Android TV: rapidly or long-pressing Up in the guide now steps channel by channel instead of jumping to the top navigation bar. It only leaves the guide when you are already on the top channel.
Improved
- Android TV: returning from a channel restores D-pad focus to that channel, and pressing Back from a scrolled guide jumps to and focuses the very top channel.
- Android TV: re-enabled UHD and 50fps frame-rate matching using the seamless method. It improves smoothness on TVs that support a seamless refresh-rate switch and can never black out the video on TVs that do not.
- Android TV: steadier D-pad navigation in the guide. Moving up and down keeps you in the same time column, and the guide now scrolls one row at a time when you move past the visible area instead of jumping a full page.
Polish (Android TV)
- Smaller, more modern top navigation bar and group pills, with more breathing room around them.
- Cleaner search and filter icons (removed the circular backgrounds).
- A bit more room for channel names in the guide.
- Clearer separator lines between channels, so two adjacent channels with the same color are easy to tell apart.

Sideload the attached APK. Drive Sync works on the sideloaded build: sign in with Google under Settings, Sync.
