Pre-release for testing. Install it only if you want to help test. Stable 1.3.6 follows after testing. If something goes wrong, go back to v1.3.5 in HACS (⋮ → Redownload → v1.3.5).
Everything from v1.3.6-beta.2, plus support for electric boilers in the Energy Dashboard.
What's new
⚡ Electric and induction boilers in the Energy Dashboard (new in beta.3)
Electric boilers (for example PEREKO Pi) send two energy counters, totalEnergy and periodicEnergy. Until now they showed up as plain numbers without a unit, so the Energy Dashboard could not use them (#237).
Now they are energy sensors in kWh:
- Energy consumption (total): the total counter. Add it in Settings → Dashboards → Energy as a consumer to follow the heating cost.
- Energy consumption (period): the counter that can be reset on the controller. When it is reset, Home Assistant starts a new cycle and the statistics stay correct.
Weather temperature: when the outdoor sensor is not connected, the controller reports 999. The sensor now shows unknown instead of 999 °C, so graphs are no longer spoiled.
📊 Fuel consumption per day (#203)
The fuel guide now shows how to chart how many kg of pellets were burned each day, week or month: a Statistics graph card with the Change statistic on sensor.econet300_fuel_consumption_total. See Consumption per day, week or month.
🔇 Quiet log when the device is offline (beta.2)
When the module stops answering, the log shows one Device <host> is unavailable: <reason> line and one Device <host> is available again after <N> failed updates line, instead of an error every 15 seconds (#255). A single answer without data is asked again after 1 second.
🔐 Ready for aiohttp 4.0 (beta.1)
The integration logs in to the module without a part of aiohttp that aiohttp 4.0 removes (#267). The module receives exactly the same login data, so nothing changes for you.
After updating
No reinstall or reconfiguration is needed. Restart Home Assistant after the update. Device names, entity IDs and history stay the same.
Please test
- The integration connects after a restart, and sensors update as before.
- Changing a setting (for example a number or switch) still works.
- No
Unauthorized accessorinvalid_authin the log. - Unplug the module for a minute: one
Device ... is unavailableline, no repeated errors, and oneDevice ... is available againline after it is back. - Electric boilers: Energy consumption (total) shows the same kWh as the controller display, and it can be added to the Energy Dashboard.
- Electric boilers without an outdoor sensor: Weather temp. shows unknown, not 999.
Please report the results in #270.
