github jontofront/ecoNET-300-Home-Assistant-Integration v1.3.6

Stable release. It brings together everything tested in the 1.3.6 pre-releases. Thanks to @fsaidl for testing them on an ecoMAX860D3-HB with two ecoSTER panels.

No reinstall or reconfiguration is needed. Restart Home Assistant after the update. Device names, entity IDs and history stay the same.

What's new

🔐 Ready for aiohttp 4.0

The integration logs in to the ecoNET300 module without a part of aiohttp that aiohttp 4.0 removes (#267). The module receives the same login data as before, so nothing changes for you.

🔇 Quiet log when the device is offline

When the module stops answering, the log shows one Device <host> is unavailable: <reason> line and one Device <host> is available again after <N> failed updates line, instead of an error every 15 seconds (#255). A single answer without data is asked again after 1 second. Entities still keep their last values for 10 minutes, and Repairs still shows the connection issue after 5 failed updates.

A cancelled update no longer leaves RuntimeWarning: coroutine was never awaited in the log while the module is offline.

⚡ Electric boilers in the Energy Dashboard

totalEnergy and periodicEnergy are now kWh energy sensors, so they can be added in Settings → Dashboards → Energy (#237). When the outdoor sensor is not connected, the weather temperature shows unknown instead of 999 °C.

📊 Fuel consumption per day

The fuel guide shows how to chart how many kg were burned each day, week or month, from the community question Fuel consumption - how?.

Also in this release

  • Unused code was removed from the part that talks to the module.
  • Documentation checks use the project settings (#268).
