What's new

๐Ÿ”— Ready for Home Assistant 2027.8

On Home Assistant 2026.8 or newer, the log warned that ecoNET300 uses the deprecated via_device device parameter (#264). Home Assistant 2027.8 will stop accepting it.

Mixers, ecoSTER panels, lambda, hot water, buffer, solar, service parameter and advanced parameter devices now link to the PLUM ecoNET300 device the new way, so the warning is gone. They still show Connected via PLUM ecoNET300 on their device page. On Home Assistant older than 2026.8 nothing changes.

๐Ÿงน No second PLUM ecoNET300 device

An ecoNET300 module that is still starting can report its device ID as empty. The integration then started without it and registered the controller entities a second time, on a second PLUM ecoNET300 device without an area. Those entities had _2 at the end of their entity ID and never updated.

Now the integration waits until the module reports its device ID. If you have such a second device, it is removed together with its entities when the integration starts. Your real devices, entities and history are not touched.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Connection to ecoNET300 device failed no longer gets stuck

After 5 failed updates in a row, ecoNET300 shows this repair in Settings โ†’ System โ†’ Repairs. After a restart a working connection did not remove it. Now it disappears after a restart, and comes back only if the connection still fails.

๐Ÿ“ฆ HACS installs without a log error

HACS logged Could not save ZIP file every time it downloaded ecoNET300. The install still worked, because HACS then downloaded the files one by one. Now HACS installs it in one step without the error.

๐Ÿท๏ธ Alarm active has its name back

The Alarm active binary sensor was shown as Problem. It is now named Alarm active (Alarm aktywny, Alarm aktiv). The entity ID does not change.

Small changes

  • The Service parameters and Advanced parameters devices now show the software version and the link to the ecoNET300 web page, like the other devices.

After updating

No reinstall or reconfiguration is needed. Restart Home Assistant after the update. Device names, entity IDs and history stay the same.

If you had a second PLUM ecoNET300 device, the log shows Removing ghost device PLUM ecoNET300 once after the restart, and the device disappears.
