🌡️ Change ecoSTER room temperatures from Home Assistant
If you have an ecoSTER room panel, you can now set its day and night temperature right in Home Assistant (#236). Each panel's ecoSTER N device gets two new controls:
- Room thermostat N day setpoint
- Room thermostat N night setpoint
Party, holiday and antifreeze setpoints are there too, but disabled by default. Enable them on the device page if you need them.
The controller needs a few seconds to apply a change. Home Assistant keeps your new value in the meantime, so it doesn't jump back.
🧹 No more extra ecoSTER devices
The controller reports every panel slot it supports, so an empty slot used to show up as an extra ecoSTER N device with entities that never changed (#256). Now only connected panels get a device.
After updating
No reinstall is needed, and your entity IDs and history stay the same.
If you still see an ecoSTER N device for a slot without a panel, open it under Settings → Devices & services → ecoNET300 → Devices and choose ⋮ → Delete. Devices of connected panels can't be deleted. With the Single device setting, delete the Unavailable ecoSTER entities from the Entities tab instead. Details: Migration guide
Good to know
- The setpoints come from the controller's
editParamsendpoint. Not every ecoNET module has it. If yours doesn't answer, the integration tries a few more times during the first 40 minutes and then stops asking. Everything else keeps working as before. - On Home Assistant 2026.8 or newer, the log may show a warning that the integration uses a deprecated
via_deviceparameter. It's harmless and will be fixed in the next version (#264).

A big thank you to @fsaidl, who asked for this feature, tested all three pre-releases on an ecoMAX860D3-HB with two ecoSTER panels, and sent clear reports and diagnostics every time. Two problems were found and fixed before this release thanks to that.
