Development Release 0.7.3-dev
Warning: This is a development release and may contain unstable features.
Summary
Fixes #94. The existing DaikinThermostatClimate is a leaving-water offset control (input_40 + holding_54/55), which caused the confusing PHE values reported in the issue. This PR keeps that entity untouched and adds a separate DaikinRoomThermostatMainClimate with room-thermostat semantics: Home Assistant only displays and adjusts the room setpoint, the Daikin Altherma remains the controller.
Mapping
| HA | Register |
|---|---|
| Current temperature | input_50 (room temp, Main)
|
| Target temperature | holding_76 (heat) / holding_77 (cool), Temp16 fine setpoints written as round(temp / scale) (x100)
|
| Min/max temp | input_84/85 (heat) / input_86/87 (cool), catalog fallback
|
| Step | catalog-driven (holding_76/77.step)
|
| HVAC mode | hvac_modes = [OFF, HEAT, COOL], no AUTO
|
| HVAC action | discrete_20 (zone running) + actual mode (input_38)
|
Mode writes combine both registers: HEAT writes coil_2=ON + holding_3=1, COOL writes coil_2=ON + holding_3=2, OFF writes only coil_2=OFF. Note: OFF physically disables the main zone (documented in the entity docstring). The holding_3 write is skipped on heat-only devices where the register reports unavailable (32766).
Changes
core/const.py: new register constants for room temp, fine setpoints, limits, zone switch/running, actual operation modeentities/climate.py: new entity + registration inasync_setup_entry- Translations (EN/DE/NL) +
icons.json:daikin_room_thermostat_main_climate - Tests: 8 new regression tests (scaling, clamping, mode routing, coil+mode writes, availability); translation extras updated
