Highlights

Shared Home Assistant Modbus connection: the integration now uses HA's shared modbus component (modbus-connection). Multiple integrations can share one physical connection per host:port. Requires Home Assistant 2026.9+.
Unit ID support: new Unit ID config option (default 1, range 1–247). Existing entries migrate automatically from v1 to v2, no reconfiguration needed. The entry identity is now host:port:unit_id.
Connection diagnostics (Enhanced device): new diagnostic entities for link state vs. device health — Device reachable, Connection active, Connection state, Last read / Last write, Read / Write errors (with per-category breakdown), Consecutive failures.
Smarter repair issues: a repair issue is only created after 3 consecutive failed polls. Single failed polls are counted, not reported.
DHW one-shot heat-up (issue #21): new start_dhw_single_heatup background service with target_temperature, timeout and hysteresis. Fires ha_daikin_altherma4_modbus_dhw_single_heatup_finished with outcome reached / timeout / cancelled.
Decoded fault codes (issue #79): new abnormality_decoded sensor showing codes like 7H-19 with description attribute. Full table with ~195 codes from the installer reference guide (4PEN820808-1) built in.
Raw diagnostics download: integration diagnostics now include a raw snapshot of all register spaces for troubleshooting.

Minimum Home Assistant version is now 2026.9.
TLS encryption (port 802) remains untested.
No manual action required: config entries migrate automatically and keep existing data/options.
