• Watched folders are now strictly read-only and include subfolders by default.
  A bounded polling reconciler avoids per-directory watch descriptors, event
  overflows, symlink escapes and unreliable network-mount notifications.
  INGEST_FS_RECURSIVE=off restores top-level-only discovery; durable
  observations skip unchanged files, and failures remain at their source path.
• Document Detail and Documents selection can now assign or clear primary
  correspondents. Documents also filters items with no correspondent relation,
  and Ask your documents keeps that scope.
• Document Detail correspondent editing now uses the same searchable
  type-to-select control as tags.
• Model classification now receives bounded existing correspondent and tag names
  and reuses unambiguous catalog entries instead of creating near-duplicates.
  Automation actions also accept correspondent and tag IDs decoded from JSON
  numbers.
• The demo corpus now opens with Japanese, Korean and German documents in the
  dashboard's recent-document pile, with native-script metadata, curated source
  dates, and local Japanese and Korean font fallbacks.
• Similar documents and local automatic filing now find neighbours in Chinese,
  Japanese, Korean and Thai documents, which have no spaces between words.
• Suggested dates written in other languages and scripts are no longer
  discarded: month names in 17 languages, CJK and Korean date markers, Japanese
  era years, Buddhist-era years and non-Latin digits now match the extracted
  date.
• Upload is now one full-page queue. All selected files appear immediately in
  order with aggregate progress, plain processing states, safe retries and
  persistent completion actions; global drops navigate to the same surface
  instead of opening a second modal.
• Titles renamed or approved by a person are now protected from classifier and
  rule overwrites. A lock explains the protection, and Let Suchi rename this
  returns naming to automatic handling without changing the current title.
• Local archive matching now ignores more low-information question and email
  words. Category and correspondent suggestions require broad support, automatic
  application requires three supporting documents, and successful automatic
  applications log their bounded supporter IDs for diagnosis.
• Optional Public links now use a separate share-only listener and required
  expiry, while Network links stay on the normal Suchi address. Link creation
  names that distinction, recommends passwords for sensitive documents, and
  separates active-link controls from paged expired/revoked history. Public
  ingress exposes no application, API, asset, health or metrics routes;
  recipient reads no longer write an unused view counter.
• Extraction-managed e-invoice fields now use readable labels in Document
  Detail, Settings, Views, and Automations while their stable invoice_* API
  and storage names remain unchanged. Document Detail keeps its ordinary
  custom-field selector behind Edit in the final metadata row and does not
  offer extraction-managed definitions there.
• Money values written in local formats (1.234,56 €, €1,234.56,
  1'234.50, EUR1234.56) are read as amounts in custom-field writes,
  field: queries and imports. Imported money values are now stored as
  numbers instead of text.
• Search, Documents, Calendar and Ask your documents also match text inside
  words: German compounds (Versicherung finds Krankenversicherung) and
  Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Thai text written without spaces. English
  stemming is unchanged. The upgrade builds a second search index, which adds
  storage and some write time; see the search guide.
• Add account-level language preference, locale negotiation, validated deferred
  browser catalogs, localized server-rendered pages, locale-aware formatting and
  plural rules, with English fallback and automatic text direction.
• Dashboard now advances first-run guidance from filing-tree setup through the
  first upload and filing, review, or processing recovery using live archive
  state while keeping the usual counters and lists visible.
• Dashboard View shortcuts no longer display or request per-view document
  counts. Saved View lists also defer filter choices until editing begins and
  offer three prefilled starters drawn from the active filing tree.
• Document list and grid controls are no longer nested inside document links.
  Filters have accessible names; phones collapse them behind Filters (n)
  while keeping active chips and Clear all visible. Transient confirmations
  are now announced politely by assistive technology.
• The document-question feature is now Ask your documents. Its interface
  names document context, matching text, links, and model confidence directly.
  Failed processing appears as Processing issues, with raw job kinds and
  errors kept under Technical details.
• The top search now shows its platform-appropriate ⌘ K or Ctrl K
  shortcut.
• Calendar now defaults to the current month, offers rolling 30 Days and
  2 Weeks ranges, and keeps its controls, grid, and date feed in one wider
  workspace. Day selection scrolls the feed; automatic dates omit a redundant
  status label. Views and Automations now match Calendar's workspace width.
• Document Detail now shows custom fields only when they have values. Unset
  definitions remain available through one Add custom field selector instead
  of filling every document with Not set rows.
• Factur-X, ZUGFeRD, and XRechnung invoice fields are now marked as
  extraction-managed definitions, so they cannot be renamed or deleted. Destructive
  actions now use Suchi confirmation dialogs instead of browser popups.

Removed

• Filing trees no longer install automations, and taxonomy files no longer
  carry category keywords or starter rules. Upgrading deletes the rules earlier
  presets installed; built-in rules you edited were already saved as your own
  copies and stay. Older taxonomy files still import their tree. The
  --skip-seeds flag and skip_seeds/include_seeds request fields are gone.
