What's Changed

Mularr’s first major release is finally here, bringing some very exciting new features!

New features

  • Indexer feed. A Torznab feed Sonarr/Radarr can poll for new releases, built from their wanted lists and from the releases Hispashare and Telegram report. The new Indexer Feed view shows the state of each source.
  • Hispashare search provider. Its eD2k catalogue shows up in searches next to aMule's and is downloaded by aMule. With it enabled, Sonarr/Radarr automatic searches can also look releases up by IMDb id.
  • Seed limits for Sonarr/Radarr. The qBittorrent API reports the real upload ratio and honours the Seed Ratio / Seed Time set per indexer, with global defaults in SEED_RATIO_LIMIT and SEED_TIME_LIMIT_MINUTES. With a limit the file is copied on import and keeps being shared; without one it is moved right away, as before.
  • Search tabs. Every search opens in its own tab, so several can be kept open and compared. Tabs survive reloading, and searches from other devices no longer replace what you are looking at.
  • Telegram join queue. Paste a list of channel links and Mularr joins them one by one in the background, respecting Telegram's limits. Joined chats can be enabled for indexing right away.
  • Configurable extensions. Each extension has its own settings in a redesigned Extensions view.
  • Table columns. Columns can be shown, hidden and resized; the layout is remembered per table.
  • Disk space in the sidebar. The Storage & Status panel shows the free space of the downloads disk, refreshed every minute.
  • What's new dialog. Changes are shown once after each update; click the version in the sidebar to open the full changelog.

Improvements

  • Search providers per search and per extension. Choose providers in the Search view and per Sonarr/Radarr extension, where the selection applies to the wanted sync and to that app's automatic searches. The wanted sync is optional: with it off, the extension needs no URL or API key.
  • Telegram has its own section in the sidebar and is no longer an extension. The chats table shows indexed messages, size, topics, last check and last error; chats can be indexed on demand, cleared or deleted, also several at once.
  • Transfer details and the indexer feed show the network and origin (search provider) of each download.
  • The download speed in the bottom bar now includes Telegram transfers. The Storage & Status panel shows the main aMule figures, with a "Show more" button for the rest.
  • aMule updated to 3.1.0 in the Docker image.

Fixes

  • Telegram: chats the account has left are disabled automatically. Renaming a chat or topic no longer leaves stale entries in the search index, which could end in a "database disk image is malformed" error; the index is rebuilt once after this update.
  • A search from the Search view no longer gets its results replaced by the wanted sync or an automatic search running at the same time. Searches now queue, and the tab shows while waiting.
  • Removing a finished download no longer sends an EC delete command to aMule, which could bring the daemon down.

Upgrading from 0.18.0

Data is migrated automatically on first start:

  • database.sqlite becomes mularr.db, and the Telegram index moves from indexer.db to telegram/indexer.db.
  • The Telegram account moves from the extensions table into the Telegram database, so you stay logged in.
  • DATA_DIR=/app/data replaces DATABASE_PATH in the compose example. DATABASE_PATH still works but logs a deprecation warning.

Take a copy of the data volume before upgrading if you want to roll back: 0.18.0 does not know the new file names and would start with empty databases (nothing is deleted, but the files would have to be renamed back by hand).

Breaking changes

  • The legacy /api/amule/search endpoints (POST /search, GET /search/results, GET /search/status) were removed. Use the media search API under /api/media.
  • Telegram is no longer an extension type; its settings live in the Telegram section.
