rEFInd_GUI 3.4.6
Fixed
- The installer works again on Debian, Ubuntu and Linux Mint (#104, #105). The README's
curl ... | shruns the script under dash on those distros, and since 3.4.3 the checksum step used two bash-only constructs, so the install died with[[: not found/Bad substitutionbefore the package, the sudoers rule and the menu entry were installed. Fedora and Arch were never affected because theirshis bash. The installer is now plain POSIX sh, the README says| bash, and CI lints the script as sh so this cannot come back. - Two further dash incompatibilities found while testing are fixed as well: a multi-assignment
localline that only bash evaluates left to right, and acasepattern that dash never matches.
Changed
- The deb, rpm and Arch packages now ship the menu entry and icon (
/usr/share/applications/rEFInd_GUI.desktop,/usr/share/pixmaps/rEFInd_GUI.png), so installing a bare package by hand gets a launcher. The installer script still adds the passwordless sudoers rule that Install Config and Install Themes need; without it those two buttons cannot run, because the GUI never prompts for a password.
Upgrading
Re-run the installer for your platform:
curl -L https://github.com/jlobue10/rEFInd_GUI/raw/main/install-rEFInd-GUI.sh | bash
No configuration changes are needed. The GUI and its helper are updated together.
