- Codex API
Changelog (English)
[0.24.9] - 2026-05-26
Added
- CLIProxyAPI sidecar now supports xAI accounts and executor routing: xAI OAuth, token refresh, model thinking configuration, executor binding, and related service tests are included so xAI accounts can participate in the sidecar account pool.
- Codex API Service sidecar now exposes OpenAI-compatible image and video endpoints:
/v1/images/generations,/v1/images/edits, and video handlers are relayed through Codex Responses tooling with streaming, multipart image input, response-format conversion, and usage capture support. - CLIProxyAPI sidecar now includes Codex client model catalog generation: the sidecar can fetch Codex client models, ships a generated Codex model catalog, and uses the catalog alongside built-in model definitions.
- Home relay mode now supports cluster discovery and mTLS enrollment: Home JWT enrollment can request and verify client certificates, configure TLS Redis clients, discover cluster nodes, and fail over to healthier Home targets.
- Codex API Service usage statistics now separate client-canceled and incomplete-stream results: totals, account rows, and request summaries show successful, failed, canceled, and stream-incomplete counts separately.
- Codex API Service now exposes configurable timeout and retry controls: the full API Service page adds advanced controls for Sidecar stream timeouts, image stream timeouts, open attempts, keep-alives, bootstrap retries, Legacy request/upstream/stream timeouts, WebSocket timeouts, upstream send retries, and single-account short retries, with built-in long-wait/short-wait presets and custom preset saving.
Changed
- Codex account API provider defaults now prefer OpenAI Official: the Cockpit API preset is hidden from the normal preset list while existing Cockpit API Base URLs remain recognized as Cockpit-managed custom providers.
- CLIProxyAPI sidecar request handling now has stronger metadata, logging, and auth-file management: request metadata, response wrapping, auth-file project IDs, partial auth-file updates, Redis queue handling, and sanitized request logs were expanded with focused coverage.
- Codex API Service stream handling now uses runtime timeout settings: Sidecar and Legacy gateways read their stream, WebSocket, retry, and connection timeout profile from the saved API Service configuration instead of relying on fixed in-code values.
- Codex synced-session metadata rebuild is now best effort: project index repair continues when metadata rebuild fails and keeps session visibility updates focused on available data. Thanks @OvOYu.
Fixed
- Codex local access port changes now remain available after a bind failure: users can adjust the port after startup binding fails instead of being blocked by the failed state. Thanks @Disaster-Terminator.
- Codex synced session project visibility now repairs missing or stale project indexes more reliably: synced thread metadata is rebuilt from available session files and official app metadata without blocking on non-critical rebuild failures. Thanks @OvOYu.
- Codex account switching now refreshes the local account list before switching: stale account selections are rejected with a clear message when the account has already disappeared from local storage.
- Codex API Service now classifies incomplete upstream streams separately from generic failures: legacy and sidecar errors such as disconnected streams, incomplete EOF, and missing completion events are migrated and counted as
stream_incomplete. - Trae account auth storage now handles iCube cipher records correctly: encrypted auth records are read and written through the matching cipher-storage path in both the shared core and Tauri modules. Thanks @wuhua111.
- Forked PR builds no longer require unavailable signing secrets: the build matrix only applies signing configuration when the required secrets are available. Thanks @OvOYu.
