- 17 new RetroArch categories added.
- New search function: Press select to search, or go to the settings menu and select search.
- New settings menu: Improved appearance, multiple levels added for new features.
- New setting: Download game backgrounds.
- New setting: Choose from multiple theme background images. Save your own backgrounds in the wallpaper folder and access in the theme settings.
- New setting: Disable game background images on the get info screen.
- New setting: Hide 'All' category.
- New setting: PSP and PSX, scan either the ux0 or uma0 pspemu folder (make sure Adrenaline is setup to match this setting).
- Skip to favorites: Press up on the d-pad whilst viewing games.
- Game backgrounds: You can now override or add your own game backgrounds for games (add your images in the backgrounds folder).
- New theme color: Dark purple; thanks to BlackSheepBoy69.
- New theme background: Aurora; credit to Maria Vojtovicova for the photo.

- Sega CD, Sega 32X, Commodore 64, WonderSwan, WonderSwan Color, MSX, MSX2, ZX Spectrum, Atari Lynx, Atari 600, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, ColecoVision, Vectrex, FBA 2012, MAME 2003 Plus, Neo Geo (FBA 2012).
Improvements
- Empty game categories hidden from cover download and startup category settings.
- Vita and Homebrew backgrounds - The app also now scans the ux0 app folder for a background image.
- Game databases moved to SQL instead of lua tables.
- Language files reworked: Using unique keys to make adding new content easier.
- Code length: Reduced by 50% before adding new systems.
Fixes
- Click sounds changed to ogg format for better stability.
- Genesis icon: Fixed it so it displays on recent and favourites rather than the megadrive icon
