Added
- Split DEE encoders now support what the single
deedoes, each checked against the real encoders:--custom-dialnormfor DD, DD+ and Atmos.- DD+ 7.1 for Blu-ray (
ddp-bluray) and Blu-ray Atmos (--atmos-mode bluray). - AC-4
--encoding-profile ims_music.
- New options that only the split DEE encoders offer (the single
deestops with a message if they are used):--loudness-targetand--peak-limit(DD, DD+): measure and correct loudness to a target instead of only measuring.--loudness-preset(all formats): measure toatsc_a85,ebu_r128,freetv_op59orarib_b32instead of the manual settings.--user-data(DD+): write a user data ID into the stream.--bluray-secondary(DD+): Blu-ray secondary audio (2.0 or 5.1 at 192 or 256 kbps).
- Docs: a single "split vs. single
dee" comparison table, updated format pages and troubleshooting entries, and regenerated CLI reference pages.
Fixed
- Split DEE encoders failed with "license.lic does not exist" for a Dolby Media Encoder install, which keeps its license elsewhere. The license is now found automatically (
dme_license.licbeside the tools, or in%APPDATA%\Dolby Media Encoder). - Data rates the split encoders reject are now adjusted to the nearest accepted one instead of failing the encode: AC-4 (72 and 112 kbps were offered but rejected; 96 and 128 could not be chosen) and streaming Atmos (512 kbps).
Changed
- Still not available with the split encoders: DD+ 7.1 for online media (
ddp --channels 8, it would silently come out 5.1; the message points toddp-blurayor--channels 6) and metering modes other than 1770-4 (measured as 1770-4 with a note; use--loudness-presetinstead).--ims-legacy-presentationis ignored with a warning.
