Hugging Face LiteRT Community — the single biggest
reason Box can do what it does. Nearly every model Box ships a card for is converted, quantised,
benchmarked and published by this community, for free, for anyone. That includes the per-chip builds
that are the hardest and least glamorous part of the job: the
Snapdragon and MediaTek and Tensor NPU builds, the GPU and CPU variants, and the model cards documenting what
actually runs and how fast. Those compiled .litertlm files are what turn "on-device AI" from a
demo into something that works on a phone in your pocket, offline.

And to every team and individual publishing open models — Google (Gemma), IBM (Granite), Alibaba
(Qwen), DeepSeek, TII (Falcon), Black Forest Labs, Stability AI, and the many independent researchers
and hobbyists releasing weights, quantisations and conversions: thank you. You do the expensive,
difficult work and then give it away. Box is a wrapper around your generosity, and it would be an
empty app without it.🙏🙏🙏

Pixel 11 support, three themes built for colour blindness, and a new font.

A small release. The headline is support for the new Pixel 11 TPU — Box now has models built for its chip —
plus the first themes in Box designed around colour vision rather than taste.

📱 Pixel 11 support

Two models rebuilt for the Tensor G6 chip in the Pixel 11:

• Gemma-4-E2B-it (Tensor G6) — 3.3 GB · 32K context · text, image and audio
• Gemma 3 1B-IT (Tensor G6) — 2.0 GB · smaller and snappier, text only

Both run on the Pixel 11's dedicated AI hardware rather than its graphics chip, which is
substantially faster than the standard build on that phone. They appear automatically only on a
Pixel 11 — on any other phone you will not see them, and should keep using the plain
Gemma-4-E2B-it or the Tensor G5 versions.
G6 Tensor 50% increase in tok/s outputs as fast as chatgpt or claude would in a browser. (50%+ performance increase from the G5)

🎨 Three themes for colour blindness

The Ptyxis+ theme list now includes Deuteranopia, Protanopia and Tritanopia — one for
each of the three common types of colour blindness.

These are not existing themes with new names. Each one's colours were picked from the standard
published colour-blind-safe palettes used in scientific work, then checked by simulating that
specific type of colour blindness to confirm no two colours in the theme collapse into the same one.
An ordinary theme, put through the same check, routinely has colours that are indistinguishable —
blue and cyan are the usual pair. These do not.

Pick one under Settings → Theme → Ptyxis+.

🌊 Seafoam Pastel

A new regular theme as well — a soft green-grey palette, and a calmer option than most of the list.
That brings Ptyxis+ to 42 palettes.

🔤 Alice

A new app font: Alice, a warm, readable serif. Choose it under Settings → Font.

Known limitations

• Translations are still partial, in every language. Around two thirds of Box's text is written
  directly into the app rather than into its translatable resources, so it stays English whatever you
  pick. Making the rest translatable is still the next big job.
