Release Notes
Added
- External panels are an explicit, language-neutral process boundary. A
configured command can publish styled frame snapshots and opt into bounded
key, paste and mouse events. Mirador embeds no interpreter,
performs no plugin discovery, and starts no process unless its id is placed
in the layout. Each process is isolated from the UI thread; startup, message
rate, retained output and input queues are bounded; Mirador owns cell-aware
wrapping and clipping; external tiles are labelled; and Ctrl+C remains an
unconditional host-owned exit even when a child is stuck. The protocol is
documented independently so SDKs do not link against Mirador's private Rust
Paneltrait. External panels can also hand bounded, completed events to
Mirador's native Watch Log. Protocol v1 is a compatibility commitment from
this release — see the README's Compatibility section.
