Agent Sessions 4.3.1

What's New in 4.3.1

Highlights:

  • A rebuilt first run. The setup experience is now a single, focused screen — live session count, per-agent toggles, and the Quota Meter always in view — plus a What's New panel that surfaces changes when you update and in-app feedback you can send without leaving the app.
  • One-click "Fix" for usage tracking. When Agent Sessions can't read your Claude or Codex usage — an expired login or a signed-out CLI — every usage surface (menu bar, cockpit meter, window footer) now shows a Fix… button that opens a guided dialog: it explains what's wrong and walks you through the solutions in order (re-authenticate → Web API or CLI-probe fallback → recheck), so you're never stuck at a broken meter.

Improvements:

  • Cleaner window footer — the usage strip drops its grey background bar.

Bug Fixes:

  • Expired Claude no longer shows a misleading "0%" — the Quota Meter, menu bar, and cockpit now show an honest "reconnecting" state and then a clear "sign-in needed" prompt instead of reading as quota-exhausted.
  • Usage returns after claude auth login without relaunching — on the next refresh, or on its own within ~30 seconds.
  • The "session expired" sign-in prompt now appears promptly (~90 seconds) instead of after several minutes of silent "reconnecting."
  • The Quota Meter / Runway "active burn" countdown no longer lingers after a session goes idle — it clears shortly after you stop.
  • Runway "+N sessions" overflow now counts hidden idle sessions, and a lone hidden session is promoted to a real row instead of "+1."
  • Sessions with non-ASCII (multi-byte) transcripts are no longer hidden by a too-strict decode.

Reminder: What You Got in 4.3:

  • Usage tracking that never cries wolf. When your Claude or Codex CLI is signed out — or its saved token has quietly expired — the Quota Meter and Session Runway no longer flash false alarms or silently pop open a browser sign-in behind your back. Agent Sessions now reads the real CLI auth state, degrades calmly (a quiet "signed out" state instead of a scary error), and shows clear in-app sign-in remediation right in the usage strips and menu bar so you know exactly how to get your quota readings back.
  • Quota Meter: a segmented cockpit-view popover that matches the Runway drawer styling, and the ⇧⌘M shortcut now cycles cockpit views.
  • Transcript: unified color palette and a native macOS list/transcript separator, with shared layout tokens for a calmer, more consistent look.
  • Usage probing is gentler on your machine — auth-status re-checks are throttled on the healthy path, and stale background probes are cleaned up instead of piling up.
