github jasonacox/Powerwall-Dashboard v5.5.0
v5.5.0 - pypowerwall-server replaces the proxy

one hour ago

The pypowerwall service now runs jasonacox/pypowerwall-server:0.15.0 (previously the proxy, jasonacox/pypowerwall:0.18.2t104). Same API, port, container name, pypowerwall.env and .auth/ — dashboards, Telegraf and tools work unchanged. It brings the pypowerwall 0.24.0 library (Powerwall 3 temperatures, fans and battery health, Powerwall 2 per-unit vitals, TEDAPI recovery fixes) and a web Console at http://localhost:8675/console. Rollback to the legacy proxy (jasonacox/pypowerwall:0.24.0t113) is 3 lines — see Switching back to the legacy pyPowerwall proxy.

Changes

  • #886 — pypowerwall-server replaces the proxy (closes #878). upgrade.sh shows a one-time notice with how to go back; README documents the rollback. Also setup.sh fixes (special-character passwords, masked credentials, previous config restored if setup stops, install mode detection) and verify.sh connection status from /health.
  • #861 — strict ShellCheck (warning severity) for core scripts.
  • #877 — upgrade.sh refreshes container images before starting the stack.
  • #884 — dashboard datasource references now match the import inputs.
  • #885 — power flow animation works over HTTPS reverse proxies (closes #748), carrying forward the original fix from @lemassykoi in #749.
  • #889 — watchdog.sh works from cron.
  • #888 — tz.sh no longer corrupts the Sun and Moon panel.
  • #883 — RELEASE.md notes cleanup.

Existing installs: run ./upgrade.sh — settings, tokens and data carry over to pypowerwall-server. Re-import dashboard-alt, -min-mean-max, -no-animation or -simple for the datasource fix. HTTPS reverse-proxy users: follow the README steps and re-import. Anyone who changed timezone away from UTC/GMT/EST: re-import dashboard.json.
