What's New in v1.4.1
Bug Fixes
- Pause automatic mounting during sleep cleanup and wait for pending unmount requests before wake recovery, reducing stale-cleanup/remount races.
- Refresh network detection after wake instead of reconnecting from a cached network fingerprint.
- Reuse saved Keychain credentials for configured SMB/AFP/WebDAV recovery and suppress separate NetFS server-login dialogs. macOS may still request Keychain access or unlock authorization.
- Distinguish NFS tool failures from server-password errors and POSIX error numbers, with clearer permission, path, timeout, network and authorization messages.
- Stop automatic retry loops for recognized failures requiring user action, while retaining retries for transient or unknown NFS failures.
- Treat denied notification permission and cancelled authorization as expected outcomes rather than application errors.
Improvements
- NFS defaults to a user-owned directory under
~/NetworkMountswith non-reserved source ports, without requesting administrator authorization. NAS export/client policy must allow this mode. - Reserved-source-port compatibility is an explicit server setting. Saving a configuration no longer installs a privileged helper; unattended reserved-port mounting requires separate, explicit authorization.
- NFS diagnostic grouping includes only fixed reason/tool values; raw subprocess output, server addresses, export paths and passwords are not uploaded.
- Packaging records the full patch version as the build version and supports an explicitly configured signing identity.
Validation and Distribution
- 137 tests discovered in the full suite: 135 passed, 2 opt-in UI tests skipped. Both opt-in UI tests passed in a separate run.
- This distribution is ad-hoc signed and is not notarized. Packaging support for Developer ID does not itself establish stable Keychain trust across updates.
- Real NAS interoperability, physical sleep/wake and system authorization dialogs still require environment-specific validation. These changes do not bypass NAS permissions or guarantee a fix for every NFS failure.
