Bookmarks and history across dictionary updates
- Bookmarks and history move to a new version of their dictionary as soon as it's loaded, not only when an entry is opened.
- Only the bookmarked article shows as bookmarked. Before, every article with the same title in that dictionary did, and removing the bookmark from one of them didn't remove it.
- Overwriting a dictionary's file with a newer version carries its bookmarks, history and style over, even when the new version's uri is different or missing.
- Entries for different articles with the same title stay with their own article. Before, they were all moved to the first one and merged, and bookmarks were lost.
- Entries whose dictionary is no longer loaded show its name and are dimmed, instead of showing "???". Opening one explains why it can't be shown and offers to look up the title, move all of that dictionary's entries to another dictionary, or remove them.
- Dictionary details show the dictionary's uri, which is how bookmarks, history and style find a new version. A warning appears when the uri is missing, and tapping the row explains what it means.
- Moving many entries no longer briefly freezes the interface.
Lookup
- When several dictionaries have articles with the same title, the articles follow the order of the dictionary list: all of the first dictionary's articles, then the next one's. Before, they alternated between dictionaries.
- Random article: with "use only marked dictionaries" on and none of the marked dictionaries turned on and loaded, the article is picked from all dictionaries that are turned on, instead of the app saying "Nothing found".
- Random article no longer crashes when a dictionary is empty.
Appearance
- New Same as device interface style, now the default.
- The Auto and Default article styles keep working after the app's language changes. If you picked either one for a dictionary in an earlier version, pick it again.
Fixes
- Opening an article from an uncompressed dictionary no longer crashes the app. A dictionary with a compression Aard 2 doesn't support (bz2), which crashed the same way, is now listed with an error that names the compression.
- Bookmarks and history entries for a dictionary split into several files find their article in whichever file of the new version it is in. Before, only the first file was searched, so an entry whose article ended up in another file showed a blank page.
- Tapping a link that no installed app can open (such as mailto: or ftp:) no longer crashes the article screen.
- Fixed crashes when a dictionary was closed while one of its articles was open in another window, and when a dictionary that couldn't be opened at first became readable later.
- A quick double tap on Add (user styles) or Open (dictionaries) no longer opens two file choosers.
- An article no longer shows as bookmarked when no bookmark was saved.
Translations
- New interface text is translated into all existing languages, and the Kabyle translation is complete.
