SLOOP 2.4.1 (hotfix)
Imported DX7 patches no longer play noise. In 2.4, an FM6 operator with amplitude modulation sensitivity (AMS above 0) turned into noise and static, and it got worse with every key held. A wrong calculation gave that operator a random level. About one DX7 patch in four uses AMS, so many imported SysEx patches were hit. They now sound as they should, like on a DX7: checked against a bit-exact copy of Dexed's engine with the 32 voices of the original DX7 cartridge. A new test keeps it that way.
The 8 factory FM6 sounds were not affected, and nothing else changes: same features, same projects, same backups as 2.4.
Thanks to the people who reported it!
Install
Connect the FM-1 by USB, open the web installer in Chrome or Edge and press INSTALL. Your projects, user presets, samples, kits, FM6 bank and settings are kept.
Patches you already stored in the FM6 bank (B1–B27) are fine as they are: they play correctly after the update, no need to import them again.
