Release candidate for Samsung. Every Tizen user on 1.3.2/1.3.3 reported stutter or a full freeze (#72, #73, #77, and logs sent from the app). This build is the fix so far; please install it and use the "Send log" card if the app ever closes on its own — the log now carries the whole session.
Samsung (Tizen) — what changed
- Images are decoded in software again (libjpeg, scaled in the DCT), off the main thread and away from the GPU. 1.3.2/1.3.3 decoded through a canvas, and on these TVs that serialized with every frame.
- Artwork goes straight from the download to the decoder — no MEMFS file per image (every file call from a thread is proxied to the main thread on Emscripten).
- Landscape cards fetch the small metahub background (480×270, 12 KB) instead of 1920×1080 (600 KB).
- The frame loop no longer probes three
/tmpfiles per frame (each miss was a JS exception with a stack trace on the main thread). ASSERTIONS off in the shipped build. Main-thread idle work measured 2.4× lighter. - Fewer concurrent threads: 2 add-on threads and 2 art network threads instead of 4+4.
- The crash card's "Send log" now includes the session log (kept in localStorage, last 200 KB).
- The log gets a
[navegador]line: JS heap, longest gap between two animation frames, page hidden.
LG
- The high-cache build now respects the RAM ceiling (a 1.35 GB TV was getting 300 MB of textures).
- Otherwise identical to 1.3.3.
