Art loads faster, and a broken stream no longer counts as watched.
Fixed
- Full-screen art now comes from the source that is cheapest to decode. Measured on an LG C9: 1.4 s down to 0.35 s.
- Episode stills in the spotlight were decoded at 3840x2160 and cost 1.6 to 2.0 s each. Now 1280x720.
- A decode that finished late was thrown away, so the same art was decoded twice in a row.
- Title logos were downloaded at 4127x2000 for a drawing 1000 px wide, up to 1.5 s each. Now 1280 px.
- Playback progress is no longer recorded for streams shorter than two minutes. When a provider is down it can answer with a 30-second error clip, and that was being sent to Trakt as a finished episode.
Notes
Four packages. highcache keeps 300 MB of decoded art in memory instead of sizing the budget from free RAM: pick it on a TV with 2 GB or more, and the standard one otherwise. The .ipk files are for LG webOS 3 and newer, the .wgt for Samsung Tizen.
