Home rows, rebuilt (#51, #42)
Settings → Home → Reorder and enable rows now has two tabs:
- On Home — the enabled rows, in the order Home draws them. Up to the row limit are on Home; anything you add while Home is full goes to a queue under a divider and moves up by itself when a row is removed. Reorder, remove, card style and size live here.
- Not on Home — everything else, grouped by add-on (toggle to a single alphabetical list), and holding ↑/↓ jumps by letter. OK adds a row; if Home is full it tells you so and queues it.
- Refresh everything — syncs the account and rebuilds Home now. Install or remove an add-on on your phone and press this instead of signing out and back in.
Behind it: the choice is now per profile, catalogs of add-ons you removed are pruned automatically after the manifests are read (the ghost entries in #51), collections are filed under the add-on they point to, and reordering no longer freezes on rows Home hasn't mounted yet.
Home stays put
Home no longer rebuilds row by row after a sync — on this LG it used to shrink from 13 rows to 6 and grow back every cycle. With something already on screen it now builds silently and publishes once, and only if something changed.
Live TV channels open faster
A channel with dead sources took up to two minutes to play: it went straight to the first source and waited 12 s on each dead one. Sources are now checked by their playlist in parallel (a dead one answers in half a second), the first live one plays, and the max-quality setting is respected — it was saved and synced but read by nothing. The guide also retries by itself when it loaded before the account's add-ons arrived (it showed "needs a channel add-on" with FrostView installed).
Fixed
- Wrong title on the loading screen when switching sources (#50): the player held a position in the catalog, and a catalog republish moved it. It now keeps a copy of the title; this also fixes progress being saved against the wrong title after a republish.
- GIF freezing after ~1 s on Tizen (#49): the
<img>was outside the DOM, and Chromium only animates GIFs it paints. Not verified on a Samsung here — please confirm. - Splash squeezed into the corner on Tizen (#48):
inset: 0is Chrome 87+; the TV's Chromium 76 ignored it. - Portuguese text in Integrations and Studios (#52): the whole TMDB/MDBList section and the studios block were missing translations.
- Poster size setting did nothing; more than 12 add-ons were silently dropped; search-only catalogs took a Home slot and came back empty every time (#42).
- HLS sources with an empty playlist passed verification and reached the player as "Playing error"; they're now skipped.
