The content advisory panel now stays for twelve seconds instead of seven. (#31)
The seven seconds were chosen as reading time — enough for four short lines — and that arithmetic only holds if the device is actually drawing. On the Samsung in #31 the app is running at 1.3–2.6 fps during the bad stretches (see #33): the staggered entrance alone takes about a second, and the whole window fits in roughly ten rendered frames. From the sofa that is exactly the report — it appears for a fraction of a second and is gone.
Twelve seconds does not fix the frame rate, and it is not meant to. It makes the notice survive a slow device, which is the only thing this number can do on its own. The 45-second cut-off is unchanged: it is still a notice for the start of a film.
