v1.0.3 — sources that keep working, personal collections, English everywhere, Trakt that links

Every item reported after v1.0.2 was traced to a cause and fixed, and this build was run on the TV with a real account.

Add-on sources

  • Sources worked once, then never again. The manifest probe read the word "resources" instead of its value, so every add-on was recorded as providing nothing. The first search (before the probe finished) found sources; from the second on, no add-on was consulted. This is the most likely shape of "addon streams don't seem to work".
  • Torrent streams that come with only an infoHash (Torrentio, Comet without a debrid key in their URL) now resolve through the Real-Debrid key saved in your account, the way the web app does — add magnet, pick the episode's file, unrestrict. Only Real-Debrid for now. Without a debrid key those streams are not listed: this port has no torrent engine.
  • Switching an add-on off on the TV pushed enabled: true to the account. It pushes the real state now.

Personal collections

  • Collections from your account now appear on the home, keyed by the collection id the web uses, so the row order saved on your phone applies to them too. Folders the package already ships (same id) keep their curated art and animation frames; new folders come in as they are.
  • Covers, heroes and logos from the collections CDN are WebP. This TV's SDL_image cannot read WebP, so the app decodes them through the set's own libwebp.

English

  • Everything assembled at runtime — "Season 3", "12 of 24 episodes", "88 minutes left", the resume line, profile statistics, dates — is now translated too. Type labels and genres follow the interface language instead of being converted to Portuguese on the way in, and TMDB synopses and biographies are requested in the interface language. Changing the language rebuilds the rows immediately.

Trakt

  • Linking from Settings never completed: the device-code poll only ran on the profile-picker screen. And once linked, a development file in the package overwrote the fresh token at every launch with an expired one, so everything answered 401. Both fixed; a link made on the TV outranks the account's stale credential.
  • The server refuses to store a Trakt credential (400 Unsupported provider credential: trakt — the web app hits the same). The link lives on the TV, saved with its refresh token.

Player

  • The Skip intro / Skip recap button is a focus target: pressing up while it is on screen lands on it, OK skips, and it stays visible above the controls instead of being swallowed by the bottom gradient.
  • Picking a related film inside the player opens it. Before, the title page opened under the player.
  • The director's portrait no longer covers the film's art on the title page.

Start-up and keys

  • The app crashed at launch for anyone with a series in their watch progress (episode tables were read before they existed).
  • The TMDB key ships in the build, as in the web app. Without it, anyone who had not saved a TMDB key in their account had no cast, facts, collections or ratings. A v4 TMDB token in the account (which the v3 endpoints reject) is ignored in favour of the built-in key.

Still not verified

  • Only tested on a rooted C9 (webOS 4.10). A non-rooted install needs LS2 access to com.webos.media and I have not measured whether it is granted.
  • This build targets webOS 4.x; its video path uses libAcbAPI, which LG removed in webOS 5.

Other builds

This one is native C/SDL2 and targets webOS 4.x only. For newer or older sets see NuvioTVSmart-legacy-webos, the JavaScript fork. Both are unofficial and not affiliated with NuvioMedia.
