INCEpTION 0.17.4

IMPORTANT NOTE: This release requires Java 11 or higher - the minimum system requirements in the documentation still say Java 8, but this is wrong.

We are pleased to announce the release of INCEpTION 0.17.4.

INCEpTION is an extensible web-based collaborative environment
for text annotation. It integrates machine-learning-based annotation
support, knowledge base management and corpus building into
a single comprehensive platform.

This is a bug-fix release.

Notable changes since INCEpTION 0.17.3

  • 🦟 Fixed bug that caused no tags to appear in the feature editor combobox if no constraints match
  • 🦟 Fixed error trying to render documents with certain zero-width Unicode characters
  • 🦟 Fixed issue that "jump to annotation" did not work when viewing documents in read-only mode
  • 🦟 Fixed importing of projects that contain a read-only knowledge base
  • 🦟 Fixed several issues relating to the activity feed in the project dashboard

If you discover problems with this release, please report them to us via our issue tracker [2].

License and System requirements

INCEpTION is provided as open source software under the Apache License version 2.

By default, INCEpTION uses an embedded database which is sufficient for testing. However, the use of a MySQL database is recommended.

INCEpTION works best with Chrome and Safari.
