Modern Reader
- New progress styles: a line, a ring around the Dynamic Island, a percent pill, or off
- The navigation bar slides away while you read
- The end of an article now counts as 100 percent
- Reader settings open from the article menu and are more compact, fonts get their own page with a preview
Sharing
- The share button in the reader opens a share sheet with all options in one place
- Share Readeck Link creates a public link to the article on your server (Readeck 0.19 or newer)
- Send by Email has your server mail the article as HTML or EPUB, when the server has email set up
- Share Original Link and Export as PDF moved into the same sheet
Highlights
- Tap a highlight to remove it, in both readers
- Shake to undo a highlight you just made
- Removing a highlight in the Annotations list now also removes it from the open article, even offline
- A changed highlight shows up right away instead of after a while
Offline
- Saved articles open instantly, the app no longer waits for the server first
- On a connection that hangs, the app offers to go offline after 10 seconds instead of spinning
- While offline it checks the server in the background and offers to go back online
- An article that is already shown stays on screen when a refresh fails
Bookmark List
- The list keeps your filter after launch, and the archive no longer hides videos and photos
- Every saved bookmark shows up, including pages the server could not fetch
- Bookmarks without a title show the site name instead of an empty card
- Changing the filter while more items are loading no longer mixes in results from the old filter
