Changelog — v1.0.2 to v1.0.3
Bug Fixes
- Fixed unexpected Wi-Fi setup mode after reboot. The boot failure
counter (boot_fail) was never reset on a successful boot, so transient
Wi-Fi or NTP failures from days ago could accumulate and eventually push
the device into AP (setup) mode on an unrelated reboot — for example,
right after saving SMB settings. The counter is now reset to 0 whenever
Wi-Fi connects and NTP syncs successfully, so only consecutive failures
trigger the fallback to setup mode.
Documentation
- Complete README rewrite with user-friendly language, a quick-start
guide, and expanded feature descriptions aimed at non-technical users. - Camping Mode guide — new collapsible section explaining how to use
SomnoTrace fully offline (no Wi-Fi), including prerequisites (prior
online session required for clock drift, AS11 must be paired) and
step-by-step instructions (power on AS11 before SomnoTrace). - Button controls reference — new collapsible table documenting all
three physical buttons: BOOT (Wi-Fi setup), POWER (on/off), and PLUS
(therapy toggle + alert acknowledgement). - Flashing guide improvements — BOOT button instructions promoted to
a primary step, baud rate corrected to 921600, browser refresh tip
added for port-in-use issues, and firmware filename corrected from
-merged.binto-full.binwith an explicit warning against flashing
-ota.bin. - FTP server documentation — new section covering the built-in FTP
server for downloading EDF files over Wi-Fi, including a FileZilla tip
(limit simultaneous connections to 1) and clarification that
authentication is configurable. - O2 Ring sync status updated to reflect that Bluetooth download works
but automatic upload to SMB/SleepHQ is still in progress. - Tagline update — now explicitly calls out that neither SD card
swapping nor Wi-Fi SD cards are required.
