- Add an opt-in background SearXNG capability check with
SEARXNG_STARTUP_HEALTHCHECK=true. The server becomes available without waiting for the check; successful results warm the existing capability cache. Configure its per-instance deadline withSEARXNG_HEALTHCHECK_TIMEOUT_MS(default 5000 ms). Startup failures are warning-only and do not populate the normal failure cache. #351
Security and maintenance
- Refresh compatible express-rate-limit, jose, node-html-parser, ESLint and eslint-plugin-security dependencies. Resolve the SDK-supported
@hono/node-server2.1.6 adapter in the lockfile. The release production dependency audit is clean; 12 moderate development-only audit entries remain. This result applies to the repository lockfile and builds using it; existing consumers must refresh their own dependency locks. #352
Compatibility
Startup behavior is unchanged unless the new check is explicitly enabled. Ordinary on-demand capability requests retain their existing timeout. Node.js 22 or later remains required, and the Docker runtime remains on Node.js 24.22.1. NPX, Docker, STDIO and HTTP invocation remain supported.
