Just added guest accounts to the app! Here's what you need to know:
What it does:
- Create guest passwords for people who only need basic access
- Guests can view gift lists and mark items as bought, but can't add or edit ideas
- Perfect for relatives or friends who just need to see what to buy
Important notes:
- Always create and delete guests through the "Guest Users" page in admin (not the regular Users page)
- When you delete a guest, it automatically cleans up their data
- Guests login with the "I have a guest password" button, not the regular login
- If you want a guest to see specific people without those people seeing each other, use "People Access" - it creates private groups automatically
How to use:
- Go to Admin → Guest Users
- Pick who the guest can see (entire families or specific people)
- Set a password and share it
- That's it - the guest can now login and see only what you assigned them
The system handles all the complicated group stuff in the background. Just set it up and it works!
