AI on this Mac's Apple Intelligence
The helper now connects the Social Archiver extension's AI features to the Apple Intelligence built into your Mac (the on-device model). No key, no cost, and nothing leaves your Mac.
- Reader chat: pick "Apple Intelligence" under "This Mac" in the model chooser and it answers on this Mac. The model reads a fixed amount at a time, so long articles are shortened, keeping their beginning and end.
- Bulk save: "Pick with AI" and the ✦ summary on an article can run on Apple Intelligence too.
- Requirements: an Apple silicon Mac on macOS 26 or later with Apple Intelligence turned on. When it is off or still getting ready, the extension says what to do (right after an upgrade, opening Writing Tools once starts the download).
- Everything else as before: video muxing, Claude Code chat and Keychain storage are unchanged. The macOS package is signed and notarized as before.
