A transcription executor that keeps going
- Long transcriptions finish. When progress stayed still for a while, the server dropped the job after 10 minutes and started it over. A slow CPU Whisper run now goes to the end.
- Progress that only moves forward. A YouTube download that fetches video and audio separately no longer fills the bar twice, and the bar no longer jumps back when downloading hands over to transcribing.
- Cancel from anywhere. Cancelling a transcription from your phone or another device stops the running job.
A fresher yt-dlp
- The desktop app's copy comes first. When the desktop app's managed yt-dlp is installed, it is used before an older yt-dlp on PATH. The desktop app keeps that copy up to date.
Note
The desktop app 0.8.7 bundles this version. A failure caused by an outdated yt-dlp is now reported as "update yt-dlp" instead of a generic failure (server side, already live).
Signed and notarized macOS arm64/Intel builds plus a verified Ubuntu 22.04+ Linux x64 build. The checksum-verifying native installer and keyless Sigstore provenance bundle are included.
