Collections from the command line

  • social-archiver:collections in the Obsidian CLI. Scripts and coding agents can list your collections, see which notes are in one, create one, add or remove notes (by path, the active note, or archive ids), print or create a collection’s share link, and open it in the timeline. Everything except sharing answers right away from this device, offline too. Sharing a private collection needs confirm=true; read the link a few seconds later with action=link.

Shared posts stay on your profile

  • No more 30-day expiry. Sharing a post from the plugin used to set one. A post with photos lost it right away, but a text-only share dropped off your profile after 30 days, even though its link kept working. New shares no longer expire, as in the apps.

Tag sync fixes

  • Renaming a tag keeps it on your archives instead of removing it from the server copy, and a slow rename no longer creates a second tag.
  • Tag edits made offline stick. The next startup no longer undoes them.
  • Tags with spaces from your other devices can be added to a note, and a note whose archiveTags holds a single value instead of a list is read correctly.
  • Startup no longer re-sends every note’s tags, which could bring back a tag you removed on another device.

Note

The server side is already live and needs no update: shares made from older plugin versions no longer get an expiry, and the few text-only shares that had dropped off profiles are listed again.
