Beta is wrapping up
Thanks for being part of the Social Archiver beta. The free beta period is wrapping up in the next few days, and the plan structure will look like this:
- Existing beta users will automatically transition to the Free plan — no action needed.
- The Free plan includes 10 archives per month. Earn more by completing in-app missions on the mobile app's Rewards screen.
- Subscriptions and the lifetime offer are available only through the mobile app, since Obsidian community plugin policy doesn't allow in-plugin payments. To upgrade or restore an existing purchase, sign in on the mobile app with the same email — it will recognize your account.

In-App Notices (new)
The plugin can now receive server-published announcements in the timeline (above the existing sync/crawl banners) without waiting for a plugin update.
- Title-only line at first; tap to expand the full message in a detail sheet.
- Dismissals persist across plugin restarts (and across desktops if your vault is synced via Obsidian Sync / iCloud / Git).
- Operators can roll out announcements gradually and target specific surfaces — used for things like new feature heads-up, billing changes, and maintenance windows.
Improvements
- Comment mention rendering — `@mentions` inside archived comments now render as proper links across all timeline and Markdown views.
- Tier-aware rate limiting groundwork — the plugin now understands `Retry-After` and `X-RateLimit-*` headers so transient throttling shows a clean message instead of a generic error.
