AI File Sorter 1.8.0 adds major improvements to local AI workflows, multilingual support, and runtime reliability. This release introduces Gemma 3 4B IT as the default visual model and adds Gemma 3 4B IT plus Gemma 1.1 7B as built-in local categorization model choices. Local categorization can now learn from your approved review decisions, and the Category language menu is now model-aware, showing the full app-supported language list for Gemma 3 4B and custom local models while limiting smaller built-in models to their supported languages. Gemma 3 text categorization also reuses the already-downloaded visual Gemma 3 text model when applicable.
This release also adds a backend status indicator, single-instance behavior, localized Quick Start help, an FAQ link, and additional interface languages including Chinese, Danish, Finnish, Hindi, Icelandic, Norwegian, and Swedish. GPU startup, visual model handling, image analysis stability, cache reset options, and launcher/runtime behavior have all been improved, with better compatibility and more predictable backend selection across platforms.
