This release includes Hydra core and eight bundled plugins at 1.4.0rc2.
It is a prerelease.
For the full list of Hydra 1.4 changes, see the
1.4.0rc1 release notes.
Changes since 1.4.0rc1:
- Restore
_group_package overrides in the Defaults List (#3535, #3536). - Add config isolation during instantiation so targets can receive independent
config snapshots, similar to Hydra 1.3 behavior. Disabled by default
(#3537, #3547). - Restore Hydra 1.3's validation of call-site instantiation overrides against
config schemas, without restoring value coercion (#3538, #3545). - Stop automatically enabling
allow_objectsfor objects stored in input
configs. Applications that need this must opt in through OmegaConf. Objects
supplied directly as call-site runtime arguments remain supported (#3545). - Fix
instantiate()crashing when call-site overrides are supplied to a
Structured Config whose root isMISSING(#3542, #3548). - Require OmegaConf 2.4.1rc1 or newer within the 2.4 release line (#3544).
- Ray launcher (security fix): read package versions from installed distribution
metadata instead of importing modules. Breaking change:ray_pkg_versionnow
expects installed distribution names, such asPyYAMLinstead ofyaml(#3566). - Ray AWS launcher: remove the rejected
initial_workers,autoscaling_mode,
andtarget_utilization_fractioncluster fields, and fix remote job script
imports (#3564).
See the Hydra 1.3 to 1.4 instantiation migration guide.
The metadata resolver fix is also included in Ray launcher 1.2.2 for users of
Hydra 1.3.
